This Privacy Policy explains how Learn Volley ("we", "our", or "us") handles information when you visit learnvolley.com (the "Site"). Learn Volley is a free educational website about volleyball. We do not offer user accounts, and we do not operate sign-up, login, newsletter, or contact forms on the Site. Where the law requires your consent (for example, for analytics and advertising cookies), we rely on the choice you make in the consent message described below, not simply on your use of the Site.

Analytics and Advertising (Third-Party Services)

We use the following Google services, which may set cookies and process usage data on their own servers as independent controllers or processors:

The consent message on our Site is Google's Consent Management Platform operating under the IAB Europe Transparency & Consent Framework (TCF). If you consent, personal data (such as your IP address, device/browser information and identifiers) may be shared not only with Google but also with a number of third-party advertising partners – for example ad exchanges and demand-side platforms. Fonts and images from other services

To show icons and flags, pages load an icon font from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com, fonts.gstatic.com) and small flag images from flagcdn.com. Like any web request, this reveals your IP address and basic browser information to those services.

Embedded Videos (YouTube)

Some pages (skill, training and how-to guides, drill pages, equipment and shoe guides, and some parent, recruiting and PE pages) include videos hosted on YouTube, a Google service. To limit what YouTube receives, these videos are click-to-play:

If you do not want to share this data with YouTube, don't play the videos. If JavaScript is turned off, clicking a video opens it on youtube.com instead.

Some English equipment guides contain links to products on Amazon (amazon.com) that include our Amazon Associates tracking ID; each one is marked Advertisement. No Amazon script or pixel runs on Learn Volley, and nothing is sent to Amazon until you click such a link. When you do, you leave our Site: Amazon receives the link (including our tracking ID), may set its own cookies and processes your visit under Amazon's Privacy Notice. Amazon tells us only aggregated sales and commission figures, never who bought what. If you have consented to analytics, Google Analytics also records that an affiliate link was clicked (the product, the page and the language, with no personal details); without that consent, no such event is sent.

Donations

If you choose to support us, donations are handled entirely by PayPal or Ko-fi on their own platforms. We do not collect or store your payment details. Any information you provide during a donation is processed under PayPal's or Ko-fi's privacy policies.

International Data Transfers

The analytics and advertising providers we use (such as Google) may process data on servers outside your country, including in the United States. These providers state that they rely on safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses for such transfers. We do not ourselves transfer your personal data to other organizations for their own use.

Children's Privacy

The Site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 where applicable). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data, please contact us.

Security

We use reasonable technical measures, including serving the Site over HTTPS, to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Data Retention

We don’t keep visitor access logs. Our web server keeps an error log for troubleshooting; an entry can include the IP address of the request that caused the error. Data held by our analytics and advertising providers is retained according to their policies and your settings with them.
